Vintage Restaurant, Kalamaki - Summer Edition

So G and I visited Kalamaki in July 2025, the first time we have visited in peak season for a few years, previously opting to visit out of season in March or late on in the season in September or October when the resorts are a little quieter and the weather a little cooler.

Vintage, based in Kalamaki is an annual pilgrimage for us! Whilst visiting in March for carnival in 2024, we found ourselves away on holiday on Mothers Day and Vintage was open ! It was a somewhat difference experience from normal with the shutters down to keep out the wind and operating with a skeleton staff, however the food was sublime!

This time around we visited on a Saturday evening and enjoyed their beautiful bread and dips starter which comes with chopped tomatoes and easily serves two for just 6.90 euros. We both ordered a coke which were pricey at 3.50 each, however were much needed. G had prawn saganaki to start which cost around 12 euros and for mains we both opted for the fillet steak which is cooked to order and comes with delicious twice booked chips. The steak was 28 euros and well worth it - I opted for medium well and G for medium and we were both happy with our food. Our total spend here was 92 euros which is a little pricier than other restaurants on the strip in Kalamaki but the steaks are far superior to anything else you will find. I did eat steak in another restaurant (which I will not name) and in comparison it tasted like cardboard!

The service here is great, staff are friendly and attentive but you are not rushed. There is adequate air conditioning (a little too adequate on the evening we visited) which will keep you cool on the hot summer evenings.

Be prepared for a wait - this is not fast food, Your steak is cooked to order as per your instructions and is cooked to perfection.

I would definitely recommend a visit to Vintage if you are looking for a fabulous steak meal, with great hospitality.

Wherever you decide to eat in Kalamaki, enjoy !

See you soon
