Tips for Being a Tik Tok Mumma !

As the ‘Mumma’ of this travelling duo, I wanted to share my tips for success. This is my jokey (sort of), tongue in cheek analogy of what it takes to be a Tik Tok Mumma!

  • always be ready to pose !

  • Remember your lines or else

  • Be as natural as you can

  • Never eat / drink / cheers without permission

  • Think before you comment - we have had one caprisse biscuit tik tok hit over 1.5M !

  • Remember that any comment you do make can impact a persons livelihood and offend - be kind

  • Think up new tik toks whenever you can to earn extra brownie points

  • Accept all collabs - if you are offered a freebie accept with grace - your video could help boost business and awareness of a place and a free shot / dessert is their way of thanking you for your business

  • Film and record as requested - or else you WILL be doing it again until it is right

  • Remember the camera ALWAYS eats first

  • Try not to be too embarrassed when mumma tummy is seen by thousands !

  • Do not complain when a 10 minute walk to dinner takes an hour as we just have to film bracelets in the shop, the wafer biscuits, a supermarket haul etc - all on the way to dinner - hence why I am generally starving by the time we get anywhere

  • Remember - angles are everything

  • Always remember to be kind - tik tok / instagram / you tube can obviously make the dedicated ones money, but always keep in mind that you are reviewing or showing somebody’s business / livelihood and your throw away comments could be detrimental and damaging

  • And finally, when Mumma is invited to Greece for a few days, she knows that it will always involve a road trip, an itinerary and lot of filming. My advice, go with the flow - look where you are! You are in a beautiful country, with lovely weather, friendly people, enjoying their fabulous resorts, hidden beaches and eating fabulous food - just a shame all of it has to be filmed !!!

Mumma xx
