The Origin of Tylixo

Tylixo opened its doors to elevate fries into an art form. Inspired by traditional Greek recipes, the owners focused on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients combined with traditional greek flavours. Their goal was to ensure that every dish resonates with Greece's vibrant culinary culture. It is open from 12pm-12am every day, with slightly longer hours on a saturday night.. perfect even for a little midnight snack!

From the beginning, Tylixo prioritized quality and authenticity. Its delicious offerings quickly attracted both locals and tourists. Within months, word spread, establishing Tylixo as a must-visit destination for a delectable take on a beloved comfort food.

The Fries: A Culinary Experience

What makes Tylixo's fries stand out?

At Tylixo, fries are more than just a quick grab and go meal—they are a culinary experience. Each day, the team hand-cuts fresh potatoes and follows a precise preparation process. They soak the fries to remove extra starch, achieving that perfect crispy texture. While ordinary fries can be bland, Tylixo’s offerings burst with flavor through innovative seasonings and toppings. They are fresh, piping hot and crispy, with the salty topping on punchy feta cheese, with a slight sweetening serving or oragano seasoning sprinkled on top. mmmmmmmm delcious!!

Additionally, if you fancied something a little extra on the side, Tylixo also had a full Gyros menu, with various meats, toppings and sauces to choose from. Take it from me... you wont want to be sharing, so save your apetite and order your own!

The Atmosphere and Location

Located just off of Ermou street, half way between Syntagma Square and Monistiraki Square, right in the middle of Aiolou 19 street, the location is perfect for a food lovers dream! I call this street restraraunt row because it is lined both sides with small restaraunts of multiple cusines offering delcious and yet a quick grab and go service for your food. Once you've filled up on your delicious fries, head over to the end of the street and grab some Loukamades for a little sweet treat!
