Manoo is located on the main road in Zante Town, sitting opposite the Harbour, and offers a full menu offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It is a somewhat trendy restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, with lovely decor, a nice indoor bar area and plush seating. It is a fairly priced restaurant / cafe that offers an array of UK and Greek dishes and an extensive list of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
We came in March, firstly for lunch, having a Greek salad and a Greek bagel with a soft drink each. This was our first stop after arriving on the island that morning and we wanted something authentic and filling as we’d had an early start and had only eaten a (very delicious) bugatsa at the airport.

The salad was presented in a large bowl and had a good amount of feta - having had hundreds of Greek salads over the years, we often compare the amount of cheese you get and whether your salad contains lettuce - if it does then it is NOT a Greek salad! I had the Greek bagel which was essentially a bagel with egg and bacon however because it contained a slice of Greek cheese, it was deemed to be a Greek bagel! It was however tasty and delicious and did the job!
Our second visit was for breakfast on our last day on the island; we opted for the Manoo Breakfast which really is numerous small plates of yummy breakfast items and is really competitively priced at around 29 euros and easily served the two of us. Bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, French toast, toast, mushrooms, ham and cheese brioche and a large croissant. All served with a couple of coffees.

The food here is nicely presented, competitively priced and the portions are reasonable. The staff are attentive and friendly and you are not rushed. It’s also worth noting that during the early and late parts of the season, and during the winter, the plastic shutters are down to keep the wind out and gas heaters are provided.
This is somewhere that is also popular with the locals, who come along on a Sunday to drink coffee and chat. It is definitely somewhere I will come again.
